Baika's Pedigree
Baika is a large and extremely well built female, often mistaken for a male at first glance. She has correct, powerful movement and strong presence. She's neutral to new people and safe in public, but bonds as a one person type of dog. Excellent environmental nerve and confident in new places. She is protective of her home territory and will alert at suspicious behavior.
Baika is like a Ferrari when it comes to work, and is easily one of my favorite dogs! She enjoys all phases of IGP and wants nothing more than to work with her handler. She is exuberant in her obedience and pushes to heel, whether you have a toy for her or not. Baika has one of the best motors for obedience I've ever seen and is an absolute blast to train. Her prey and toy drive are VERY high, her favorite reward is the ball but she'll happily work for food and praise as well. Absolutely zero handler aggression and no sensitivity to a fair correction. In protection, she is truly balanced between prey and defense, she's able to switch easily between drives. She is fast and hits the helper hard. This girl loves to fight and stop the helper. She has deep, rhythmic barking and extremely hard, full grips. She is possessive but keeps a clear head and remains easy to control.
In daily life Baika is a very clean and easy dog to live with. Calm and quiet in her crate and the house, and an excellent passenger in the car. Baika is a higher energy dog and prefers to work any chance she gets, but can settle and has a nice off-switch in the home. No neurotic or annoying behaviors. I expect Baika to produce puppies capable of high level sport as well as working homes like SAR, detection, and police work.
